What do I really want?
I’m still having second thoughts about this ojt. Do I really want to be an IE? What do I want to do when I graduate?
Ever since I’ve started college, what I really wanted was to have Masterals after graduating the BS program. Upon earning a Masterals Degree, I would teach – be a professor – specialized subjects. Operations Research, Engineering Economy, Production Planning and Control, or even Industrial Statistics / Quantitative Methods.
But my mother seems to be optimistic on me having a job after graduation. Also, right now I am hired as a student trainee at a company under the Engineering department. I should have asked the person who helped me to forward my request in the Production or Quality Control or Human Resource head (those are certain departments that IEs can work at) But hey, Engineering is Engineering, and I am an IE afterall. What confuses me is that, what I am doing at work doesn’t seem to fit with the tasks and IE should do. And – lots of idle time.
I tried to contact other people, like my cousin who works at a cigarette company, and a neighbor who is into brokerage / forwarders. I specifically wanted to be a trainee on companies dealing with logistics since it uses OR, one of the subjects I can say I am best at. But fate seems to really push me to the current company I’m working at.
I told my parents about this, and my mother said that I should wait for a week. Maybe they’re still looking at my potentials. But I am really not convinced. I’m not used in testing the water if I know I won’t drown. They should know that I offered myself because I know I can do the job, yet I still see myself waiting for tasks to come. With tasks easily done, I can’t see any challenge, and because of the fact that what they’re giving me is super easy and I can finish it quickly, it gives me a lot of time – to text. Yes, I text or space out longer than the time I work. And I hate it.
At least I can say that money does not motivate me. I think what I really want to see is the satisfaction and fulfillment.
Hmm..but maybe a few years from now, money can be a motivation.

It’s Good Friday.
I haven’t blogged much lately. Probably because lack of motivation, and more uber important things to do. What made me blog this day is because i feel as if my PC is new. Yeah, kababawan much. No files. Reformat galore. It’s super fast, exaggeration here. But yeah, I don’t feel irritated with my pc now. Haha.
OJT
By Monday, I’ll be coming back to Kraft Foods Philippines Inc. to have another interview and hopefully, they accept me as a trainee in the engineering department. I need to finish at least 200 hours of Industry Integration in order to pass my OJT.
SUMMER
We had our family outing last week, we went to Tagaytay friday night, had swimming at Amadeo, Cavite on Saturday, back to Tagaytay that same day and went home Monday. It’s still cold in Tagaytay on mornings, and the sun still shines but it’s not too hot.
I’m still looking forward to more swimming this summer. haha. EM is planning to have a team building on the 18th of April in Monte Vista. My college friends are planning an overnight on the 1st-2nd of May, and probably we’d have a family outing on my father’s birthday on May 16.
The rest of the days…
I’d be spending at least 5 weeks of training, and I do hope I enjoy the training at Kraft. These past few days, I’ve been watching Asian dramas and movies online. I’ve also finished Special A Anime, and waiting for the last chapter of the Manga.
I still have unread books here, so I must not impulsively buy books from booksales or at national bookstore since I still haven’t finished 7 more books, I guess. And also, I still have the Sophie Kinsella Shopaholic series in ebook. So there’s really a ton of books waiting to be read, that’s why no to book buying for now.

Yay. March is nearing its end – which signifies, SUMMER!
It’s hot already, I’m feeling the heat. Whenever I go to school, and ride an FX even though it is air conditioned, it’s still hot. So what are the best things to do this summer?
One. BEACH. A summer isn’t complete without a beach, or even a pool.
Two. COOLERS. Who wouldn’t want a nice ice-cream and Halo-Halo, or ice cold thirst quencher this summer? I definitely would want to have one in the heat of the summer.
Three. COOL PLACE. Baguio, Tagaytay just to name two cool places.
But what if you’re stuck at your home/school/office for the summer? Then all you have to do is have an electric fan open and focus it to you while doing your job, or even turbo cool your aircon. But of course, if that’s the case you might need all year electric services if you’d have your appliances overworked! Haha.
Too bad for me, I’ll be having my OJT this summer. Anyway, I’ll just have to enjoy it and finish my required time earlier than sched so I can still have time for my summer vacation to be enjoyed
Care to share your summer plans?
