I’m in my fourth year, and one more year to go, then I’ll graduate. Yes! I will, on time. Now that I’m twenty, I’m still doing what I’m doing for the past couple of years. Do I have to change myself? What do I need to do? Should I forget my childish acts? I don’t know. I don’t have any idea. All I know is that I’m still the same Thrish, who used to wake up late in the morning and arrive late at school. The same girl who always watch anime, and tease younger cousins. The girl always being scolded for being noisy.

A birthday isn ‘t complete without a wish. So what did I wish for? Hmm…when I attended the mass, I asked God to take care of my family, for the health of my father and my relatives, and of course guidance in my studies. I haven’t thought of any material things that I wanted as a gift, I was just contented in things that I have AS OF NOW. Of course, time will come that I’ll crave for super nice things, but I’m still not thinking about them this moment. Haha.

So, anyway, thanks everyone for wishing me a happy birthday, and being with me on my special day.

It’s been a great vacation for me, although I haven’t updated my online accounts. I’ve enjoyed my North Luzon Tour (December 17-21). We’ve been to places like Our Lady of Manaoag, we explored the old city of Vigan, went to Chavit Singson’s Wildlife Sanctuary, which is popularly known as Baluarte. We’ve been to the old churches of Vigan like Bantay and Paoay. I’ve also seen Marcos, for the first time in my life. I’ve seen his preserved (which some people prefer to believe that it is wax) body in his mausoleum in Batac, Ilocos Norte. We also went to Pagudpud and I’m amazed, the beach is super beautiful! On the way back home, we stopped at a resort in La Union. The beach is wonderful there too, great waves - that’s why it is called the Surfing Capital of the North. Our last stop is Baguio. I spent my saved money just to buy shirts and sweets to be given to my relatives. I spent my savings buying things, and it’s really worth it. I wanted to put in detail every day of our tour, but I bet it would take a super duper long entry for that.

Some of you might remember the preparations that kept me busy from October. It is for my uncle’s 50th birthday. All the efforts were really worth it. We made him cry and super surprised. Everyone kept the secret until his birthday. No one informed him about the surprise party that’s why he was so overwhelmed with what we had prepared for him.

Christmas is for the kids. And I most certainly believed and proved that last Christmas. I used to go to my ninongs and ninangs on Christmas when I was a kid. I ‘m super excited about Christmas before, but now, I understand why my parents are doing utmost preparation during Christmas. And I apologize to most of my godchildren back at Paranaque, because I spent the Holidays with my relatives in Tagaytay. I don’t have anything new for myself last Christmas because I spent most of my savings and earnings preparing for the 24th, and used up some during the tour. I bought a dress to be used on the 24th, none on the 25th. But it’s okay. Although I haven’t felt that it’s really Christmas, maybe because I’m used to the Paranaque way of celebrating it, plus the fact that we’re all super tired the day before.

My whole Christmas vacation was spent at Tagaytay, and from time to time, my cousins and I goes out and watch movies, or simply hang out in the mall (which is an our or so away from the house). We watched MMFF movies on the 26th and on the 1st of January, attended mass on the eve of Christmas and New Year.

This vacation also was beach overload. In my North Luzon Tour, we had fun in Pagudpud and La Union, and on the 28th, the complete family went to Batangas and have our traditional outing at Matabungkay. Eversince I was a kid, we never fail to have a swim at Matabungkay whenever we are complete - my father’s siblings for that matter.

We went to Paranaque on the 29th and went back to Tagaytay again that night. On the 31st, we’re so busy preparing food for the New Year’s eve. We had lots of food and drinks. The everyone help prepare the food - spaghetti, macaroni, fruit salad, lechon, ham, barbecue, hotdog, cakes and pastries. There were cocktails, and lots of drinks - sparkling wine, margaritas and martinis, tequila, vodka, red wine, champagne, and lots. We did some last minute buying of firecrackers, mainly because we forgot to.

We welcomed 2009 with smiles and laughter. We’re complete and happy. We danced, and partied till 2am.

Tomorrow, I need to wake up before 5am. I have exams at 7 in the morning. T_T what a great way to start the year!! aww.

After I take my last exam on PPC tomorrow evening. I’ll be heading straight to Tagaytay with my cousin, and from there, we’ll be travelling to North Luzon on the 17 th to the 21st. I’m not yet sure about the places but there will definitely be Pagudpud, Hundred Islands, Manaoag,  places in Pangasinan, Ilocos, Tarlac (?) and on the weekends, Baguio.

After the tour, we’ll head back to Tagaytay for Christmas preparations and a reunion + birthday party on the 24th, and we’ll be spending our Christmas there. I dunno when I will drop by Parañaque and have a quick net at my PC. Although I’ll be bringing my laptop along, I’d still need a wireless connection - and if I want one, I should drag someone along to treat at at Max’s Tagaytay or Yellow Cab because they offer free Wi-Fi. hahaha.

Anyway, I know I’ll be busy the whole break - school work, and family trips and functions and parties galore. Maybe the next time that I blog would probably be exactly the day of my Birthday!

Wednesday night, before going home, I dropped by Tokyo Tokyo since I’m craving for Spicy Tuna Rolls. I was disappointed that there’s nothing left so I proceeded to Karate Kid and bought Tuna Sashimi and Kani Sushi.

Yesterday, I went home late so I decided that I’ll just drop by the 24-hour McDonald’s near our place. I was about to go to McDo when I suddenly thought of “Why not try something?” I want to experiment on cooking. Yes I know it sounds crazy because I don’t usually cook. I went to my cousin’s house and asked if they have rice. Luckily there is still rice and I told her that I’ll take it home. I did something that I had never done before - Adobo Rice, with a twist!

I mixed a soy sauce and vinegar (of unknown parts) I didn’t actually measured how much soysauce per vinegar - I just tasted it and when satisfied, I added pepper. Normally, Adobo rice is done when there is left over Adobo. Since there’s no left over, I tried to do something out of my imagination. Haha. So now I had my Adobo sauce. There’s no pork or chicken in the ref so I opened a can of Corned Beef. I sauted the garlic and added the corned beef. Then a few minutes, I poured the adobo mixture and let it simmer for a few minutes. I added the rice, then an egg. I mixed them all on a moderate heat. There were Tuna leftovers so instead of eating it raw, I fried it. Here is my finished product:

I made one serving since the rice that I got is only a cup. I had my dinner while watching Survivor Philippines. I paired my meal with the Calamansi Juice that my father made last Monday. Yey. I look forward to more experiments in the future. Haha. By the way, I felt satisfied with what I did and what I ate.

I’ve been plurking for the past few days about how little time I have for my Intertnet activities. I haven’t updated this blog for days, and hadn’t even finished coding my so-long-ago-layout. Yes, I had a layout - a colorful one for that matter - that I had finished designing a few weeks back, and still needs to be coded.

Super workload right? But how did I find time to update my site today? Simple. I don’t have any deadline tomorrow. Instead of doing some work, I decided to relax a bit. Since I won’t need to review for the upcoming quiz and two Prelim Exams as of now. I need a little time to relax since I’ve been ‘overworked’ this weekend. My whole saturday was supposed to be the day for the general cleaning of my room, but I didn’t manage to do it since I need to read a super thick chapter of a book that needs a review, which by the way I managed to pass today (Tuesday)

Sunday came. The Dream Match. My dad and my cousin had tickets for the live feed at SM Cinemas. My mom woke me up Sunday morning since she wants to do a little shopping. Take a peek! ▼

She bought me a formal blouse with a touch of gold (which is to be used when I, along with 2 of my cousins, host the reunion/bday party on the 24th of December) and I bought her 2 casual Frenchtoss blouses. We had lunch at Karate Kid and went home a little early, around 5pm. My cousin dropped by our house and we did some changes in the presentation we are making (it’s a surprise btw, but I’m sure my uncle won’t stumble upon this post :P) 11:30 pm came and we’re still figuring out on the conversion of some incompatible chunks of video versions of their messages, so we decided to call it a night. He still needs to go home and it’s late already. After he left, I worked on the invitation that he’ll be printing the next morning. I stayed up late for it, and sent it to his mail.

We don’t have classes on Monday, since our school is a Catholic School, and December 8 is Immaculate Conception. We used my free day to polish the video, and luckily we managed to do everything. Some minor changes and it’s good to go. We finished around 11, and after everything, I used up my remaining energy to do my assignment. Yes, cramming. Haha. I had it done for less than 2 hours! Yay me.

Soooo. I need to sleep now. I’m so in need of it these days.

It’s been more than a week since I’ve last updated. Last week was just a typical week, well - the first part was. Come Friday, the 28th of November. My classmates were so intrigued by the story of Twilight a day before it was shown. They haven’t read the book so they were super excited to see the movie. It was tuesday when they set a movie date - Friday.

We agreed to come at SM Manila and meet up at 12 in the afternoon - SHARP. The movie was good. I wasn’t pretty much impressed since I already have read the book. (Neex is really super right. It’s better if you haven’t read the book before watching the movie.) Okay, I’m thinking of making a separate post for twilight review. The next day Saturday, I watched Twilight again, but not with my classmates this time - just for company’s sake. Alright, it was a treat so why not watch again? We got home around 11 something. Last Full Show eh.

Last Sunday was the First advent. The first of the four sundays before Christmas. We attended the mass at SM Sucat, and that same day there was a sale too. We went home around 3pm, and around 5, i went to my aunt - the dentist. She checked my gums, and told me that she really have to trim them off! LITERALLY! She injected anesthesia in the upper set, and used a light cure (not sure bout this one) to burn them off. She told me that my teeth being shown were only half of its actual size, it was only obscured by the gums and so on *insert dental terms here*  When the anesthesia wore off, my gums hurt. As in. So I just slept at home for about an hour, and drank pain relievers when I woke up. I brushed my teeth and wow. Blood was all over -my mouth. ewww. I’ll come back to her clinic this Thursday for my retainers.

That same night, we drove to Tagaytay - again. Just to add more Christmas decorations. It was actually my cousin’s roadtrip. He brought his highschool friends along with him. Since we’re also going there for the decorations, we opted to go with them too. We went home the next day, since it’s holiday and no classes.

Yay. I’m starting to get busy at school. T_T Prelim week is near!!!

Before I continue with my main topic, I would just like to share that I’m super happy. I’ve finally completed the vampire saga, - Yes. The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer. I bought Eclipse yesterday at National Bookstore, SM Manila during my 3-hour break. Although I have read the entire series, I still wanted to have them completed, physically. (Eclipse was out of stock in most of the bookstores I went to, even in Powerbooks Online, so it made me read an e-book, downloaded by a friend) Anyway, I’ve purchased my Twilight and New Moon from Powerbooks Online, and my Breaking Dawn was bought at Powerbooks in Robinsons Ermita. It was Thursday evening when my cousin informed me that she saw the books being delivered at NBS, Thursday - around 5 pm. I’ve made up my mind that moment to buy the book first thing the next day. And so I did. I went to SM Manila (Since it’s just a walking distance away from school) and searched the shelves - and found nothing. It was then when I decided to approach a Customer Service personnel when I saw a student holding Eclipse. I asked he if she had it reserved, and she said no. She directed me to the Customer Service Counter and told me that stocks weren’t displayed on the shelves, rather on the Counter. Well, maybe they’re afraid that if worst comes to worst, people might fight over a last piece fo the book. Anyway, to celebrate for the completion of my books - which I can REALLY call my OWN - because I’ve bought them using my own money, from blogging I took a picture of them all four!

I HAD MY BRACES REMOVED! Yes, my teeth is finally free, for now. haha, I’ll be coming back to my aunt on Tuesday to have my gums checked, since I still have gum problems (well, eversince) then by next week, i’ll be on retainers. As a remembrance, I had these:

it was really sad not to have earnings as of this moment. Thinking back, exactly a year ago, I’ve been making sponsored posts and been earning lots. Anyway, maybe that’s just how life goes. School’s starting to get me busy.

I was a regular at the Noisy list since grade four. I’m a well-behaved student in my pre-school years and early elementary, but come 4th grade, I’m super noisy, well, at least if there’s no teacher. It happened because most of my friends were guys, and they’re my seatmates. Even though I’m noisy, there’s still no harm done. Just plain noisy, not a pasaway kid or anything. I don’t crave for attention. Attention finds me, and that attention happens to come from the person standing in front, the person adding names to the list.

We’re laughing really hard and silent, still the professor noticed us. Knowing that I can easily answer his question about Forecasting, he asked my seatmate. She was aware of the lesson though she haven’t heard the last thing that the prof said. We’re still laughing, and the prof asked us to share what we’re laughing about.  My seatmate was hesitant at first, in the end, the joke was shared to the class. Majority laughed, but the professor didn’t. But I’m sure deep inside he’s laughing. Hahaha. Because after hearing the joke he said “ano kaya yun” and wanted to sound as if he found the joke corny. Bwahahaha.

Bottom Line: Maingay talaga ako.

Upon arriving at Tagaytay, we did the barbecue, and prepared the things to be used the next morning. It was discussed that we’ll be going at 5am. But of course, it’s not followed. Haha. Talk about Filipino time. Before we sleep, we had rounds of pictures. Yeah we’re so tired,, and I badly wanted to sleep..but my cousins are uber kulit.

It was a super happy day. Although I was the photographer, at least I still have my fair share of pictures, well not with group pics. T_T.

Anyway, everyone had fun. We’re actually the only people there at the resort since it’s an off-peak season, and it’s like we’re on a private pool! haha. We spent the whole day there, from morning ’till around 6 or 7 pm. I wasn’t aware of the time actually. There were lots of food! We had bangus, bbq, hotdog, sinigang, chicken neck, liempo, huge shrimp, green mangoes, banana, lots of chips and drinks. We didn’t manage to cook the pancit since we all partied. Haha, around 4pm, it’s already cold - because the resort was just minutes away from the house. It’s in the Cavite territory, specifically in Amadeo, yet the climate is still the same as in Tagaytay. No one dared to swim that time because it’s cold. What my uncles did that time was that they played songs like ‘In d Ayer’ and we saw them dancing and partying. Then all of a sudden, we just saw everyone, as in everyone…all of us dancing in the cottage! Haha. We’re like party animals there. Lol.

We went home wet, well, most of us. We just decided to take a bath at home since there’s a heater, and the ride won’t take 15 minutes. It’s a super bonding day for all of us..and we’re complete!

Upon arriving home, we hurriedly took a bath, and my aunt and mom went to the kitchen to prepare the Pancit Canton. We forgot to sing a happy birthday song at the pool so we extended the party at home! haha. We had cakes and watched the video of that day. We’re tired, yet happy. But that didn’t stop my uber kulit cousins to take pictures again before sleeping!
